Coverage: reasonable cost of repair or replacement of covered parts in event of mechanical failure or manufacturing defect. Parts, etc. that are covered include: "All components/parts covered during the manufacturer's original warrany", "all fluids and lubricants required as part of a covered... repair," and "all seals and gaskets."

Exclusions include repairs made without prior authorization (unless needed when the "Administrative office" is closed); "maintenance items" (clutch linings, for example); breakdown caused by non-Suzuki parts; breakdown caused by "overheating from any cause"; breakdown caused by owner's failure to perform required maintenance; bikes used in competition; fading paint; etc.

There is no deductible: remember, it's a warranty, not an insurance or service policy. (However, the warranty is itself insured, and you can make a claim against that insurance policy if Suzuki fails to complete repairs under the warranty.) It is both cancellable and transferable, as I originally described.

I purchased the extended warranty on the day before the original warranty expired. The dealer had told me that I wouldn't be able to buy it after the original warranty had expired.
